This state forces a 1:1 Hopefully which is still pretty ok for the shaman player. Tunnel Trogg pays you back for using the Credit. If you ask anyone weather they would want to wait one turn to start winning or just start winning now. Its getting a tempo swing now, and paying the cost next turn. Your turn n+1 result is suddenly your turn n-1 result. You get the effect now but pay for it later. Whats point of overload if it is now pointless and no drawback to having it with free minions and strong unlocking mechanisms. With rest of shaman bullshit from last couple expansions its just insane to have this in addition to 0 mana 5/5 with taunts, mana wyrm on steroids, 2 ways to unlock overload and now they can upgrade their superior minions to stronger ones and fully heal them out of board wipe range. In a vacuum its a strong 4 drop like the fireguard destroyer but with guaranteed stats and doesnt die to fireball. And god help you if tuskar was turn 3 and summoned another totem golem to deal with. ![]() Then factor in buffing the trogg with the overload and how lava shock clears early minion and lets you unlock the overload to play another spell like rockbiter or earthshock or whatever and the 7/7 requires you have exact removal for it and the trogg and a way to stop the totem golem. On its own its not overly broken but combined with the fact you need a) a nuke for turn 1 trogg or take 20+ dmg from a 1 drop and b) need to be able to deal with a 3/4 2 drop that 2 for 1s all your shit and prevents building board to trade into the 7/7 and c) taunt totem on turn 2 where you cleared trogg with spell lets coin 7/7 be unkillable even if you had minions on board. But if overload cards arent scary, then it makes shaman totally unplayable. Aggro shaman takes this to the extreme because overload is designed to penalize an opponent who doesnt have the cards to respond. I hate aggro decks because it feels like you just roll the dice to see who drew a better opening hand and then that decides the game. If you say 1.5 overload is worth 1 real mana, then over a full game the shaman almost 10 less total mana to play with.įlamewreathed Faceless is a pretty scary card, but if you counter it, the shaman is screwed because he ruined his turn 5 (doomhammer). But if you say that overloaded mana isnt worth as much as real mana, then it means that over a full game, shamans have significantly less mana resources than everybody else. If you say that overloaded mana is exactly as valuable as real mana, you get really powerful cards like Totem Golem and FlameWreathed Faceless.
